Hollywood is said to have struck up a friendship with Summer Monteys-Fullam after meeting her in his local boozer
Paul Hollywood went on a secret date with a 22-year-old barmaid, according to reports.
The Bake Off star met Summer Monteys-Fullam working in his local boozer earlier this year and struck up a “close” friendship.
Hollywood, 51, announced last week that he is splitting from his wife of 20 years Alexandra.
According to the Sun on Sunday, Hollywood met Summer at The Dorchester hotel in London.
A friend says Summer believes the two could become an item in the future.
“Paul and Summer have struck up a close friendship – the age gap between them doesn’t seem to be a problem,” the insider said.
“Summer is only 22 but is very mature for her age.”
“She has told friends that she believes that they could, in the future, become a couple.”
It comes after claims Alexandra, the mother of Hollywood’s teenage son, will not appear in a new TV show about his life.
Channel 4’s Paul Hollywood : A Baker’s Life is tipped to give viewers an insight into the TV chef’s personal cookbook and the personal inspiration behind them.
But while Paul’s’ mum Jill and other relatives do appear, Alexandra does not, it is believed.
The blue-eyed TV chef, who has renewed his lucrative Channel 4 contract for another year, also blasted his former Bake Off co-stars Merry Berry, Sue Perkins and Mel Geidroyc in his new series.
“Three people walked out the tent and one person stayed. Why am I getting called a traitor?” he asks in the new documentary which starts on November 27.
Paul found himself at the centre of a media storm last year when he decided to stick with the Bake Off after its move from the BBC while the other stars chose to leave.
He was branded a ‘snake’ by viewers who feared the baking show wouldn’t be the same again, although the 2017 final received record-breaking figures for Channel 4 – even though Prue Leith announced the winner hours before the show aired.
Earlier this week Bake Off judge Paul announced he had split from his wife of 20 years.
Paul, 51, and wife Alexandra, 53, broke the news of their separation via a joint statement on Monday.
Fellow chef Alexandra had previously forgiven her husband for cheating in 2013.
Paul admitted to an affair with chef Marcela Valladolid, his co-star on the US version of Bake Off.
When the relationship came to light Alex filed for divorce, however the two reconciled a few months later – with Paul later describing the incident as “the biggest mistake of my life” in an interview with BBC Radio 5 live.
Just two years ago the TV baker told how he was the happiest he had ever been with wife Alexandra, saying: “We went through a very difficult time but we’re on top right now.”
However, Paul and Alex struggled to move on from past infidelities, it has been claimed.
“They worked really hard to salvage their relationship but just couldn’t recover from the damage that had been done,” a source said.
“The more famous Paul has become, the more attention he has been getting, and that has put huge strain on the marriage,” they added
News that the couple, who share a teenage son Josh, were splitting for good was announced via a joint statement last Monday.
“It is with sadness that we have decided to separate.
“Our focus continues to be the happiness of our son, and we would ask the press and public to allow us privacy as a family during this very difficult time,” the couple said.
